It is such an incredible part of our ministry journey to serve at the church in Greensboro where we grew up and were introduced to a living, redeeming Christ. Our pastoral positions took us through some great years of working with youth, young adults, church planting, and executive positions, all preparing us to come home to serve at Christ Wesleyan Church.
Though CWC has changed in many ways since its birth in 1903, and the leadership of seventeen previous senior pastors, the mission is still pretty much the same… Love them, transform them, and serve them. Every lesson we teach, outreach event we host or participate in, and worship service we prepare for, has the mission of loving, transforming, and serving as the foundation for people in the church, and especially the ones outside of it.
Our hope is that Christ Wesleyan is the last church you will ever visit… We hope you will feel like Deb and I do… we’re home, and we belong.
Together.......Transforming Lives.....Loving Our Community.....Serving Our Christ, is the core and DNA of who we are. It is an honor and privilege to serve our church and community as the Assistant Pastor. Seeing our church reflect the love and image of heaven is the fulfillment of The Great Commission. Here on earth, as it is in heaven.

Hi, I’m Starr Cromer and I’m the Music Director at Christ Wesleyan. Our ministry includes choir, worship, band, praise team, dance team and a tech support team. The choir meets on Wednesday nights at 7:00pm in the sanctuary. We do a variety of music from Contemporary Praise to Brooklyn Tabernacle to even a little Southern Gospel once in a while! The worship band and praise team also rehearse on Wednesday nights at 8:15pm. We all meet Sunday morning in the Chapel behind the sanctuary for prayer and last minute instructions around 10:35am (right after Sunday School is dismissed). We also welcome the opportunity to feature soloists, duets, and other small groups who can add to our time of worship. We’d love to have you join us! If your talents lie in the “tech” department, my husband, Troy, is in charge of that ministry and would love to have your help! Feel free to see me and get plugged in and use the gifts that God has given you for His honor and glory!
